The DeSoto Convention and Visitor’s Bureau was looking for ways to engage the community with their new brand direction, The Reunion Capital of Texas, and to increase interest in the usage of the city’s many hotels and rental facilities. After spending thousands of dollars in advertising in previous years, the CVB was looking for marketing solutions that would create measurable results.
Our team partnered with the DeSoto Arts Commission to create an event called Beneath the Stars, a series of music and poetry nights at the city’s outdoor amphitheater. Our goal was to create an event that, through its efforts, would drive traffic to an online survey that would capture interest in booking local venues and hotels.
For less than have the previous year’s marketing budget, our team was able to generate tangible leads — up to 20 at each event — and grow their email list.
